week nine, virtual worlds

Msn Messenger is a chat room where you can talk to many people at the same time, it is easy to access and simple to understand. Interactive world chatrooms such as Active Worlds is alot differant because you are a character within a unrealistic world. It is a little more complex and harder to talk to more than one person at a time, in this chatroom you have to wait for people to log in and it could be someone you don't know. Whereas MSN is usually your friends or people you know and you do not have a visible character, just a photgraph. The main differance is that msn is more of a chatting place and active worlds is more of a computer game. The differance in the socialising is that it could be with people from all over the place, not just people you know it is harder to socialise with more than one person. thank you.

Games

I'm very new to photoshop but i changed a few things to this photograph of a game of scrabble. I modified a few of the colours using the lasso tool. An i changed the texture by using the grain tool.

Friends

This second picture resembles a phtograph of friends. except i tried to change it into just one man, because maybe his only friend is himself....i also modifed the colouring of the sky to make it look a bit more red, and i gave them all the same shoes....because friends share.

Celebrity

This photograph is of Britney Spears, it has been modifed slightly...just the colour and texture has been altered, there has been no layers or any adding of extra pictures for this photo.

Australia

This photgraph is of Uluru with a beautiful kangaroo relaxing on top...as you can see i altered the image to place the animal in the space and swapped the colour of the rock to a more pinkier side.

Communication

I feel this photo of the word WEB is a good example of communication because the world wide web is one of the main sources of communicating. I changed the texture of the three letters just to add a bit of volume to the image.



Popular

This image shows popularity simply because they are cheerleaders, and everybody loves cheerleaders. I Duplicated them, took of there arms and legs and made the picture more interesting using photoshop. Thank you
